Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Inteli Seko EOOD for using MAI. We have kept it as short and readable as a binding document can be — the parts that could cost you something are in plain language, not buried.

1. This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Inteli Seko EOOD, a company registered in Bulgaria under company number 208085848 (VAT BG208085848), registered at 5 Ivaylo Petrov Street, Sofia, Bulgaria. By creating an account or using MAI you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
Our Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement and explains what we do with your data.
2. What MAI is
MAI is a second brain you fill by voice. It records and transcribes what you say, turns it into structured notes and tasks, can send a notetaker to your meetings, and can let an AI assistant such as Claude read what you have stored. It runs on iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac.
MAI is a productivity tool. It is not a medical, legal, financial or professional advice service, and must not be relied on as one.
3. Your account
You need an account. There is no password — you sign in with a six-digit code sent to your email address, so keep access to that mailbox secure. Anyone who can read your email can reach your brain.
You must be at least 16, give an email address you control, and keep it accurate. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person; do not share your sign-in.
4. Recording meetings
MAIcan record meetings, either by sending a notetaker into a video call or by capturing audio on your Mac. Both produce recordings and transcripts containing other people’s voices and words.
It is your responsibility to have the right to record, and to tell everyone present that you are recording. Recording laws differ by country and by US state, and the rules that apply are those of everyone in the conversation, not just you. Twelve US states require every party to consent. In the EU and the UK, a recording of an identifiable person is personal data with obligations attached. Where participants are in different places, assume the strictest rule applies.
By recording a meeting through MAI you confirm that you have obtained whatever consent the law requires, and you agree to indemnify us against claims brought by other participants arising from a recording you made without it. We are not able to police your meetings, and we do not.
You must not use MAI to record covertly where that is unlawful, or to record conversations you have been asked not to record.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use MAI to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights;
- store or process someone else’s personal data unlawfully, including recordings made without the required consent;
- attempt to breach, overload, reverse-engineer or circumvent the service, its rate limits or its access controls;
- resell or redistribute the service, or use it to build a competing product;
- upload malware, or content that is unlawful or abusive.
We may suspend or close accounts that do these things. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first.
6. Your content
Your content stays yours. Your recordings, notes, transcripts and everything derived from them belong to you. We claim no ownership.
You grant us a limited licence to host, store, transmit and process your content strictly to provide the service to you — transcribing it, summarising it, indexing it for search, syncing it to your devices, and showing it back to you. That licence exists only so the product can function, ends when you delete the content or your account, and does not let us use your content for anything else. We do not sell it, publish it, or train AI models on it.
You are responsible for having the right to store what you put in, particularly where it concerns other people.
7. AI output
MAI uses AI to transcribe speech and to generate summaries, titles and tasks. AI output is frequently imperfect. Transcripts mishear words, summaries omit things, and extracted tasks can misread your intent.
Check anything that matters against the original recording before acting on it. Do not rely on MAI for medical, legal, financial or other professional decisions. We do not warrant that AI output is accurate, complete or fit for any particular purpose.
8. Plans and payment
MAI is free to download and use. Premium unlocks unlimited voice capture, the meeting notetaker, the daily Focus Brief, the AI connector and the AI actions. Premium costs €99.99 per year or €14.99 per month. Prices are in euro and include VAT where it applies.
There are two ways to buy, and they differ:
- In the app (Apple).Apple is the merchant. Subscriptions renew automatically through your Apple ID until you cancel, and you manage or cancel them in your Apple account settings. Apple’s terms govern the transaction, and refunds are requested from Apple.
- On the web. Inteli Seko EOOD is the merchant, with payments processed by Stripe through RevenueCat. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you manage them from the billing portal linked in the app. The rights in section 10 apply to these purchases.
We may change prices. An existing subscription keeps its price for the period already paid for, and we will tell you before a change affects a renewal, so you can cancel first.
9. Free trial
Premium bought through the App Store starts with a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel before it ends, it converts into a paid subscription at the price shown, charged by Apple. You can cancel any time during the trial in your Apple account settings and you will not be charged.
Purchases made on the web do not include a free trial and are charged immediately.
10. Your 14-day right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK and you buy directly from us on the web, you have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days, without giving a reason.
Because MAI gives you access immediately, you are asked to agree to that immediate start at checkout. Strictly, that agreement can reduce the statutory right once the service has been supplied. We do not rely on that. If you ask within 14 days of a web purchase, we will refund it in full — including a founding-member seat — whether or not you used the service in the meantime.
To cancel, just email ivo@maicontext.com from the address on the account and say you want to withdraw. No form, no explanation needed. We refund to the original payment method within 14 days of being told.
This section does not apply to purchases made through the App Store, because Apple is the merchant for those — request a refund from Apple.
11. Founding member seats
The founding-member seat is a one-time payment of €69.99 for Premium without renewal, limited to the first 100 buyers. It includes every Premium feature, present and future, and does not expire on a date.
To be straightforward about the word “lifetime”: it means the lifetime of the product, not yours. It lasts for as long as we operate MAI. We intend that to be a long time, and we have no plans to stop — but no company can honestly promise a service will exist forever, and we would rather say so than let you infer otherwise. If we ever discontinue MAI, we will give you at least 90 days’ notice and a way to export everything you have stored.
A founding seat is personal to you and cannot be transferred or resold.
12. Cancelling and termination
You can cancel a subscription at any time. It keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for, and does not renew after that. Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account — you can delete your account and its contents from inside the app whenever you want, and that deletion is permanent.
We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these terms, or if we are required to by law. Except where the breach is serious or unlawful, we will warn you and give you a chance to put it right. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of anything you have paid.
13. Availability and changes
We work to keep MAI running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages and faults happen. Features change as the product develops; we may add, alter or retire them, and we will not remove something central to a plan you are paying for without telling you first.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you do not accept it, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of your current period.
14. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law — including your mandatory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, MAI is provided as it is. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or opportunities, for decisions taken in reliance on AI output, or for loss of data where you have not kept your own copies of anything critical. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.
If you are a consumer, this section applies only so far as the law allows, and your statutory rights are unaffected.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Bulgarian law, and the courts of Sofia, Bulgaria have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country, and you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
Please contact us first — almost everything is settled by email. If we cannot resolve it, you may be entitled to use an alternative dispute resolution body, and consumers in Bulgaria may contact the Commission for Consumer Protection.
